Where can NDIS Participants find inspiration for Entrepreneur Ideas?

Where can NDIS Participants find inspiration for Entrepreneur Ideas?

At DisabilityEntrepreneur.com.au, one of the most common questions we get asked is how to come up with inspiration for entrepreneur ideas. Yes, it’s true, sometimes inspiration does come in the shower, or while I am out walking the dog at the beach. But I can provide you with some common sources where people with a disability find inspiration for new Entrepreneur Ideas:

  • Personal passion and interests: Many successful Entrepreneurs with Disability (EwD) start businesses based on their own passions and interests. They identify a problem or a need in an area they are passionate about and create a solution for it.
  • Market research: Conducting thorough market research can help you identify gaps and opportunities in the market. Analyze trends, consumer preferences, and emerging industries to find potential areas where you can create innovative products or services.
  • Observing problems and pain points: Keep an eye out for everyday problems or challenges people face in their lives. Identifying pain points and finding ways to solve them can lead to successful entrepreneurial ventures. Talk with other participants in the NDIS, or service providers and see what they think.
  • Networking and conversations: Engage with a diverse group of people, including professionals, experts, and potential customers. Networking events, conferences, and industry-specific gatherings can provide valuable insights and spark Entrepreneur Ideas through discussions and exchange of experiences. Youtube can be a great source of inspiration – search up your preferred topic and listen to discussions to hear the latest emerging trends.
  • Technology advancements: Stay updated on technological advancements, as they often create new possibilities and markets. Technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things (IoT) can inspire ideas for innovative products or services.
  • Social and environmental issues: Addressing social or environmental challenges can lead to meaningful and impactful businesses. Identifying ways to create sustainable solutions or contribute to social causes can be a powerful source of inspiration for Entrepreneur Ideas. Have you considered a social enterprise?
  • Existing products and services: Analyze existing products or services and think about how you can improve or innovate upon them. Identify their limitations, inefficiencies, or unmet needs, and come up with Entrepreneur Ideas to provide better solutions. Can you reverse engineer a “regular” product so it is better suited for someone neurodiverse or living with a disability?

Remember, inspiration can come from anywhere. At Disability Entrepreneur we aim to keep you inspired and encourage you to take in multiple streams of influence so you can always be engaged and feeling as though you are at the cutting edge. It’s important to stay curious, open-minded, and observant of the world around you. Brainstorming, researching, and keeping a creative mindset will help you generate new and unique entrepreneurial ideas.
